When you use Booka, you trust us with your personal data. We are commited to keeping that trust. This involves explaining to you how we handle your privacy information.

This notice describes how Booka and its affiliates collect and use personal data. The notice applies to alle users and includes our apps, websites, features, or other services anywhere in the world. We collect data about you at several times: when you visit our website, or apps, ask a question or contact us, participate in a call or sign up for an account.
This notice specifically applies to:
Consumers/ users: Individuals asking for or receiving video conferencing with local Third Party Service Providers.
Third Party Local Service Providers: local business offering their expertise and services through video conferencing.
All those subject to this notice are referred to as “users” in this notice.
Data controller and transfer
The data controller for Booka is North Vision AS (corporate identity number 918621415). The responsible supplier has access to the personal data and can make extractions through export to professional systems for archive services.
Subcontractors for the operation of Booka are bubble.io, Twilio, Stripe, Amazon and Microsoft. Personal information collected by Booka is stored on separate servers operated by Twilio, Amazon and Microsoft. The servers where the information is stored are located within the EU area and are in line with current privacy rules.
How and why do we ask for your personal data?
When you create an user in Booka, you are asked to enter personal information which will be stored in our platform. Booka uses your personal information for several purposes:
For easily facilitate video conference meeting between you and Third Party Local Service Providers. Before an initial meeting or agreement is taking place, the Third Party Local Service Providers must know which person or organization wants to get in touch with them and which services are in demand.
To perform effective and precise search for available Third Party Local Service Providers close to where you live.
To make bookings of video conferencing easy and simple.
Your personal contact information will be shared with Third Party Local Service Providers you want to book.
In addition, Booka stores and analyse data to calculate and report user numbers and traffic on it’s platform. The information is stored in a database so that we can deliver our services optimally, as well as to continuously improve and develop Booka through understanding how the platform is used. We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes or the like.

Data created using our services. This includes:
Location data (Third Party Service Providers): Booka collects this data when the Booka app is running in the foreground or in the background on their mobile device.
Stedsdata (consumers): We collect accurate or approximate location data from consumers' mobile devices. Booka collects this data from the time a video inspection is requested, until it is completed, and when the app runs in the foreground on the mobile device. We use this data to put consumers in touch with local providers close to where the consumer lives, as well as improve the use of our apps.
Transactions: Booka collects transaction information related to the use of our services, including order details, date and time of video conferencing, amount charged, duration of call and method of payment.
Device data: Booka may collect data about the devices used to access our services, including devices' IP address, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, device motion data, and mobile network data.
Communication data: We enable users to communicate with each other and through Booka’s mobile apps and websites. For example, we enable consumers to contact local providers through video conferencing requests. To provide this service, Booka receives certain data about the calls, including the date and time of the communication and the content of the communication. Booka may use this data for support services, for security purposes, to improve our services and for analysis.
Data we collect from consumers: In order to join a video call as a visitor, we need to collect these personal data from you:
Profile picture (voluntary)
Log in information and password.
Third Parties: This includes:
User feedback, such as ratings, and feedbacks.
Users or others providing informaton in connection with claims or disputes.
Booka business partners users create or access their Booka account, such as payment providers.
Marketing service providers.
Google Analytics is used to measure the use of Booka. Here, IP addresses and other information that can be linked to your user profile are anonymised. This is therefore not relevant to your personal data.
In order to make the tools we use for support, billing, and similar work as well as intended, it is often necessary to share some of your data with our third party providers. We only share data when it is necessary, and we share as little as possible.
We have strict data processing agreements with all our providers and control how they handle data. So if you tell us to change or delete information, those changes will also be reflected in data they can access if these overlap.
How long do we store your personal data?
Information about your reservations is stored in our platform for statistical and historical reviews and is stored until you or we choose to delete it.

You have the right to change and delete your data
When logged in you are able to see what kind of information is stored about you in Booka. However, your personal data remains your own and under your control, you have the right to tell us show to handle it.
You have the right to know exactly what data we have collected about you.
If requested, we will provide a full overview within four weeks.
You have the right to know who can access and alter your data.
You have the right to change and update your information if what we have is incorrect.
We retain your contact data as long as we have an active customer relationship with you. If the customer relationship ends, we keep your contact data for another 90 days before we delete it from our systems, with the exception of invoices and transactions, that we are required to keep for 5 years.
Consent and possibility to correct or delete personal data
By reading and accepting this information, you consent to the storage and processing of your personal information as described in this privacy statement. If you do not agree to the use of personal information in Booka, you can unfortunately not book local providers directly in the solution. Without registering a user, you can only search for relevant suppliers and check availability, but not book. You can correct personal information yourself if you discover errors. You do this in My Account. You have the opportunity to withdraw your consent at any time. This will result in the deletion of your account and information in Booka. If you want to delete your user profile, this can be done by going to My Account and> Delete this account.
Update of this notice
We may from time to time update this statement. Use of our services after an update constitutes consent to the updated statement, to the extent permitted by law.
